Midterm # 4

Final product (head shot of my avatar character using Gimp to write)

Progressive shots:

For this midterm assignment I created a greeting card using only my headshot from my avatar character in  cloud party. I first went into avatar and took a screenshot of my avatar looking ahead. I then took this screenshot and opened it up in GIMP and added text in which I dropped a shadow for added effect. The final product is this great greeting card of myself. This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. Midterm # 8

Smudged picture of myself
Before (original picture before Gimp Smudge tool use)

Progressive shots:

This picture of myself was edited using Gimp. Using Gimp I changed my smile lines and wrinkles while keeping true to the photo. This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course I am taking at Boston College.  The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics.  For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc.

Midterm #7

Final Product

Work in Progress Shots:

The picture of Katt Williams above was edited with Gimp. First, I took out the unnecessary background. Then, I copied and pasted the circle image after cropping it to make his eyes. Next, I used the rectangular selection tool and the text tool to make the bottom banner. This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc.

Silver Dollar in Gimp, Class 6 Assignment 2

Here's a silver dollar that I made in Gimp, so it uses Bitmap graphics instead of Vector graphics.

Silver Dollar, Class 6 Assignment 1

Here's my silver dollar! I used vector graphics in Microsoft Word and then cropped it and added my name in Gimp.

Midterm #10

This is my house that I made using shapes and drawing tools in Microsoft Word. I made the roof with a triangle, the body, the windows, and the door of the house with rectangles, and used the free form drawing tool to make the clouds and the grass. I used patterns and gradients to fill the shapes with colors and added text, too. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc
